Yeah, it was gross.....

Ear wax was removed today and it was gross. There was quite a bit of yucky ear wax for an ear canal of a little boy who happens to be a skinny minnie. I said, "Gabriel, how long have you been working on that?" How big could his ears really be in there to harbor so much ear wax?

He did not jump up on the chair and begin to recite War and Peace for us. It would have been nice if he did.

He sat well for it. I held his head firmly of course. At one point I looked down where she was depositing the removed wax and I said, "Wow, that one looks like a worm. Oh, no that's just a sesame seed from this morning". It was stuck to his shirt, not in his ear. There was so much wax in there, there would have been no room for sesame seeds.

I think I did notice a change later this evening. We were hard core watching baby einstein to see what he can learn with clear ears. The third time he did signing and saying of things in rapid succession that he never did before. Then he requested Finding Nemo by picking out the DVD box. He followed the movie like he never did before, laughing and singing along with parts he never did before. He actually looked like he was enjoying it in a whole new way.

Again, he might have just been happy to eat noodle salad for dinner. He loves it with extra raw onions and green pepper pieces. Yes, he smells like a raw onion eater right now. It's ok because it masks the strong garlic smell.

Hope you liked the cartoons. I just spent a while trying to find a photo of ear wax. They were really gross and I know Amy would have wanted to see it since I denied her the plumber crack photo. Sorry Amy, but I think the large majority would prefer the cartoons. Maybe next time Gabriel exudes something gross I will post it for you.

Again, I'll have him call you all up to chit chat by the end of the week.

I think you could spare me the photo of ear wax as well, actually!

So, I'm interested to know if you're still noticing a difference or if it was a fluke that night?

Yes, is there any sign (positive).
Hope things are better for him and for all. Lola
