We have been busy but have not posted anything because we got a new drive for our computer since we have so many pictures and it wasn't allowing me to put them on picasa. Bryan has fixed it so here we go.
Our big news was Virginia Beach. We all had the best time. Thanks again to Jackie for organizing the whole thing. We had to leave a little early because Gabriel got a virus. I should have known something was up as he napped 2 days in a row. I thought it was 2 ear infections. I guess we were happy it was a virus. It must have been a big one because it wiped him out. On the day we left we had to skip a trip to Norfolk to see the "big boats" at the naval museum with Connor. All the way home Gabriel was miserable (it took 9 hours to get home) and he continued to believe the whole way home we were on our way to see the big boats with Connor. At 1:30AM all he got to see was Daddy. Bryan flew home 2 days earlier to go back to work.
Great beach pics. The house was 1 block from the beach. The beach itself was fabulous. Morning to beach, afternoon to pool, what else is there in life really? Click on here to see the pics. Double click for the big slideshow.
The Monday after our return we went to the Safari at Great Adventure. We never used our Safari tickets when we went to the park. It really was great. I was not expecting much but I actually think it is worth the safari price. There were lots more animals than at the zoo. For example, tons of zebras where at the zoo there are tops 5. Lots of giraffes too. Sylvia was bored until a zebra was in the middle of the road and she cried. She might have thought it was a man in a giraffe suit like she cried at Chik fil A when the guy in the cow suit came over to say hi. She cried like the end of the world; Halloween may be difficult for us. For those unfamiliar with Great Adventure-the safari is drive through. You stay in your car and drive on a road for about an hour or so. You drive right through the animals.

Alas, the summer at the YMCA is over. We will still go there but not as frequently because Gabriel is starting pre school in September. Gabriel had private swimming lessons for the summer with his little kid classes (music, general kid fun class, gymnastics and kid koncoctions, they made soap on the last class). Sylvia had two baby classes. Here are some pics of her last baby class and some cute video of the beanbag rock song. Everyone loves that one. Don't miss the video of Gabriel doing his hula dance.

Yesterday we went to the Children's Museum of Manhattan. It was fun. Gabriel and his stress needed an excursion from his life at home as a big brother. Bryan and Gabriel were to go alone but I was sad when they were leaving so we all went. We had a great time in NYC and some great food at a great NYC deli for lunch.

Today, because Gabriel needed another excursion or there would be a death in the household, we went to the Battleship NJ in Camden. I had wanted to take him there since he missed seeing the "big boats" with Connor in VA. He had the best time and loved exploring the ship. God must have known we would visit the ship today and that is why Sylvia is so little. We used the Baby Bjorn carrier with her. If we didn't have it we wouldn't have been able to go since carrying a small child up and down ladders on a battleship is definitely a NO NO. How many others are carrying their 19 month old in a carrier? My little angel.............she loved it.
Here are today's pics. Click here.
