Summer Camp! Tear tear sniff sniff

I dropped Gabriel off at his first ever full day real summer day camp. 9am to 4pm. A really long day. I was so sad since it was the first time I left him for such a long time in such a situation that may have appeared to be chaos. He had to do everything for himself. Change his clothes for 2 swim times, morning and afternoon. Do his own shoes, decide what to eat in his lunch bag, find the lunch bag. Try not to lose his precious goggles or two sets of shoes, towels or bathing suits. I did a little sniffle sniffle and Sylvia blew a dandelion and said she wished Gabriel was with us. Of course, he would have been pinching her until she cried and I would have measured out the punishments, but us girls were so sad to be alone for the whole day.

He loved it. I think his favorite part was walking around with his new Spongebob backpack on. I asked him what his favorite part was and he said everything was his favorite part.

He did a good job on his own today and came home wearing his shorts inside out.

We shall do it again tomorrow. It's only a week, a little sad since it's so great but next week is bible camp for only the morning. Sylvia will go for 3 days to preschool camp, I suspect she might not be so excited about it.
