Busy Getting Ready

We have been very busy this week getting ready for Sylvia's arrival. We had to fix up the hole ourselves since contractors don't come out when it is raining. I am sure it will work out ok. We were a little worried when we went shopping yesterday and we got a flat tire. We had to wait for AAA to come and while we were in the parking lot waiting a BIG BLACK BIRD waited with us sitting on a shopping cart right next to our van. We thought this must be a very bad sign. It turns out it was not a nail from the roof that made the tire flat but a problem with the air pressure sensor and they didn't charge me for it. That was great since we were ready to buy a new tire. I had to go back when STS forgot to put the spare tire back where it is supposed to go. That was a big deal. I hope we never have to use the spare again only because it was so difficult for STS to get it back on.

Gabriel has been helping get ready. He helped assemble Sylvia's new dresser. He loves screwdrivers. He loves to pretend paint. We are quite sick, I am getting worse and Bryan just started. It is miraculous how Gabriel has escaped it all till now. Here's hoping he doesn't get sick.



This is our new chunei. Sylvia's baby carrier. Gabriel liked it too but he refused to ride on my back. If it doesn't work out we still have Gabriel's Bjorn but we hope she will be more used to this one.

Gabriel loves Sylvia's closet. He wanted Daddy to hide with him in there. I cleaned all the junk out of it yesterday. I found some interesting pictures I will have to find time to post.
The color is all done. We only have to fix the hole and paint over it. I also have to paint the trim around the door tomorrow. I've been sick and not interested in smelling paint but tomorrow it must be done. I am super happy with the color. I decided not to go with the Pepto Bismol pink and I chose this one instead. I LOVE it.
Gabriel was helping clean the crib. He is being very helpful. I think he will just love having a little sister here to play with every single day.
