OMG! Has it been that long since my last post?.....

Well lets do a little now since it's late and I'm tired, ........again....... or is it still tired, I can't remember.

Today we went to a tree farm to cut our own Christmas tree and bring it home. Gabriel calls it a Happy Tree and no one knows why. So we went to cut our own tree because it was a fund raiser for Gabriel's pre-school. We never cut our own tree before and this is how it went.
In the tree field, also a great picture of my new bad haircut.
This is not a picture of Bryan cutting our tree down.
This is also not a picture of Bryan underneath the tree, on the cold and snow/mud covered ground with a handsaw, cutting our tree down.

So, one of Santa's helpers had to help us cut or cut it totally for us and drag it back to the store for us, oh, and tie it onto the car for us.

We were not prepared, Bryan was still wearing his pants he had on at church (and sneakers) Gabriel was not wearing his snow boots and got super muddy while in a snow fight with Daddy, and Mommy found out how really cheap her brown boots really were (not snow boots). Sylvia was the only one who did not have to change her shoes, socks and pants when we got home. She was being carried around like a princess. Therefore we were late to Madison's birthday party.

Nice tree though. A super fresh tree smells really nice and is much less messy but ours still had snow on it tonight when we brought it in and it was like it was raining in the house when the heat hit the remaining snow and ice.

It was fun. Next time we'll wear boots and maybe Bryan will really cut our tree, or maybe not.

Looks like fun though messy. I don't think we can handle that. Ours is all decorated. We try to make it as easy as possible. The things you do with little ones. Keep up the good work and fun.

So the guy looks at me and says "Do you want to cut down your own tree?" I said, "Do I look like a guy who wants to crawl around in the mud trying to cut a tree down with a dull hand saw?"

Forty five bucks and three guys helped us pick out the tree, cut it down, carry it back and strap it to the van. Cost for the insecure men who do all that themselves... you guessed it, forty five bucks.
