If anyone was still wondering.....

Jesus is still wearing a toe ring. Gabriel is quite insistent. I am sure that he did not learn that at school but it was his own observation.

I can't say enough how happy I am with Gabriel's pre-school. He knows all about Jesus, he can do the sign of the cross on himself and he says his own prayer before mealtime. He knows without question that God made him, gave him his single facial freckle and even gave him his snotty nose.

So he knows that Jesus is this guy that everyone knows about and talks about enthusiastically but no one seems to be concerned that he is never around. Gabriel says that he wants Jesus to come to our house.

Today at church we gave Sylvia and Gabriel envelopes for the collection basket. Gabriel was very excited to have an envelope to contribute. Gabriel wanted to know what the envelope was for and Bryan told him that the envelope was for Jesus.

Suddenly, he became visibly excited that he was finally going to see Jesus because of course Jesus must be coming to get the envelope directly from Gabriel. Gabriel stands up, looks around all the people in church with his eyebrows raised in their curious position.

So Gabriel says, "Jesus is coming to get it, but he's not talking to me, where is he". Alas, he was so disappointed when we insisted he had to put the envelope in the basket instead.

The big guy has eluded Gabriel once again...............

I have photos of the kids' new footwear for Uncle Kevin to approve but we are at Nanny's house today so that will have to wait until I am at home and have some time to post again.
