To Gym Or Not To Gym

Today we are proud members of the Hamilton Area YMCA. Gabriel has been a member for a year already, he was way ahead of us.

A Gold's Gym just opened near us and we were thinking about joining that gym. It's super close and convenient but very expensive. It's also super glitzy and "in your face". We don't need the big screen TV's, loud music and tanning booths. I take Gabriel to a toddler class at the Y and I have to peel him off the glass door to the babysitting area. He sees a bunch of happy toddlers in there playing and he really wants to get in there so I thought I would join up and Gabriel can play with his peers while Mommy has some alone time.

Bryan and I were Y members about 5 years ago but we cancelled the membership because we never went there. Since I am taking Gabriel there anyway, it should work out better for us now. I wasn't super happy with the childcare at the Gold's Gym and I would rather give my money to a more worthy cause so the YMCA was it.

Besides, the YMCA is Bryan's claim to fame. He played basketball there with Donovan McNabb. Maybe Donovan will remember him this time.
