Wow, what a week..................

Controlled excitement.

Gabriel liked the Mummers.

This is how he agreed to wear the costume for a short while.

Sylvia likes to stand up. This was the afternoon before painting with Minnie. This was her pre-halloween outfit.
Gabriel carried the pumpkins all by himself-in the wagon.
We've been so busy this week. Bryan worked so much he didn't seen the kids till Friday night. You would think that the baby would be the one that needs to go to bed first at night but Gabriel has a really really early expiration date these days. It's been since he was really sick and he just has so much stress, while at the same time being Mr. No Naps. I can't leave Sylvia alone at 6:30 to put him to bed so they both get nuts until Sylvia gets tired and she can go first or I have some help. Waiting for Bryan to get home so Gabriel can go to bed was super tough this week. I hope this next week will be better.

But we still had fun. We went pumpkin picking on Sunday. I took Gabriel out in the yard to carve them. He refused to get even the slightest bit messy with pumpkin guts. I was going to let him get really messy, this kid surprises me sometimes.

We went trick or treating with Nanny. Gabriel turns into a pumpkin at 6:30 so we couldn't go anywhere. He refused to wear his costume so we're lucky we got to go tricking and treating at all. He wore his monster PJ's instead. He did get the concept after a while but thought it strange to knock on strangers' doors and take candy from them. After he got a lollipop he thought it was great.

On Wednesday night, I took the kids to Delta Gamma for pumkin painting and fun. He played with Minnie Mouse and he thought it was great.

We have learned the Sylvia likes to go out and eat. Gabriel did when he was a baby too. She can sit in the high chair now and she is happy to gnaw on a piece of bread and some cheerios.

We went to the Family Day for a client of Bryan's today. They manufacture and sell helicopters. Gabriel loves helicopters. He calls them aptacoptas. The mummers were there for music, Gabriel danced. There was a helicopter flight demonstration. Gabriel showed controlled excitement. I thought he would have shown a little more crazy excitement about the flight demonstration.


Tonight we discovered that Sylvia has the biggest laugh and she thinks that Gabriel is the funniest thing that ever lived. She wouldn't go to bed even after she was sitting on the couch falling asleep. I think she thought she would get to stay up with Gabriel all night. She's been interacting with Gabriel more and more, he loves it. He is still super jealous though and Daddy is warned not to hold onto Sylvia for too long.
