Hawaii Day 7: The Big Fish Story

Sam's is the biggest. The 491 pound blue marlin of course.

But it wasn't really a big fish "story". It was certainly a big fish but all true. Bryan set up a fishing trip for Friday morning out of Honolulu. They left at 6AM and came back after 1PM. They were supposed to be back at noon but SAM BEZEK caught a 491 pound blue marlin and it took approximately 45 minutes to reel in so they were late.

Everyone at the docks came to see them. Everyone was taking pictures and even the newspaper interviewed Sam. It was biggest fish caught this season. It was a successful trip with everyone catching at least one. In addition to the marlin there were ahi yellowfin tuna and mahi mahi.

We did get to eat some at Kevin's house the next day.

There would be more fun stories of the trip except that Bryan and Henry were so BADLY seasick the whole time they were out. Perhaps this is Bryan's excuse as to why he did not catch the big one.

Here are all the fish pictures. All you fishermen must view all these pics. Click on this album.

That fish looks bigger everytime I see. The other three are huge as well but pale in comparison.
