We Gave Up Sleeping: Where am I? How did I get here? Where in the world are my PANTS?

Aloha! We are at home. I had planned to post while we were away, but we did not have computer access. Gee, I gotta get a laptop. We are very tired. I did not think the worst of the trip would be after we got home. Gabriel napped a little yesterday but stayed up till 5AM which was when I said I just had to go to bed. There is a 6 hour difference that I didn't think would be a big deal for a little 30 pound boy who slept only about 3 hours during our 24 hour ordeal but that kid has some ENDURANCE. Sylvia was up too but she gave in at about 1AM last night. We landed between 10 and 11 NJ time yesterday. (4-5AM HI time).

We have nearly 6GB of pics so where to begin? Especially since I am tired. I will have to organize by subject and post that way. To begin, I think that Gabriel will give a pictorial of his trip out to see Uncle Kevin. We woke the kids up at about 4AM and got into our Escalade. (not family friendly I might add). They handled the early day well, we were surprised. We arried in Honolulu at 5:30PM HI time and 11:30PM NJ time. Gabriel slept about 2+ hours on the planes and about 45 minutes after we landed (you'll see the pics). He has some ENDURANCE and didn't decided to sleep until about 1 hour before we landed in Honolulu and continued to sleep through deplaning, baggage, meeting Uncle Kevin and Auntie Nikol, the shuttle to the rental car and waiting for the rental car (which took a while).

On board and all set to go to Minneapolis. Gabriel had his own seat this time. He said he wanted to go FAST.

Sylvia is all set too. Approx. 2.5 hours to Minneapolis.

On board to San Francisco. Again, everyone is ready to go. 4 hours and 30 minutes to San Francisco.

Gabriel arrives in San Francisco. He must have known we had arrived in California because as soon as we deplaned, he pulled his sweatpants way up over his knees and insisted on keeping them like that.

En route to Honolulu. 5 hours and 11 minutes. This was just before we got over Oahu. Gabriel waited till about 1 hour before landing to fall asleep. Sylvia slept sporadically and then waited till about 20 minutes prior to landing to fall asleep. To her credit, both had ear infections. She's a trooper but Gabriel just stood in line at God's endurance line more then once.

Gabriel woke up just after this picture was taken. He was just wearing a diaper under the blanket because he peed all over on the plane. His diaper was never in correct position because he was jumping around everywhere. Without extra pants, we covered him with the blanket.

His expression when he woke up in HI for the first time was priceless. Imagine a young man enjoying countless hours of a good party, he wakes up in a strange land without his pants completely bewildered but still attempting to appear cool and collected. His eyes were huge while discovering he was not wearing any pants on a tropical island wondering how did he get here?

Auntie Nikol assists with installation of Sylvia's car seat. Uncle Kevin does need some serious car seat buckling instruction. He did try and Gabriel tried to tell him how to do it.
Eating pizza with Gabriel at the resort. Of course we had to stay up because Gabriel had had a nap and he was so excited about meeting Uncle Kevin again. It was a party of course.
