The Money Pit Deepens........

So yes, kids are a money pit. Nothing new. We have made a list of all the larger purchases that are necessary before little Sylvia Mae arrives. I had a nice coupon this week so today we purchased little Sylvia's car seat, 15% off, super cool. It was fun since it was the first thing I picked out for her. I wanted a pink one but since Evenflo doesn't make a pink one and I want the same kind that Gabriel has, she will have to do without a pink car seat. I thought she will have enough pink so the carseat will be ok. Behold this is her thrown.



When it really comes down to it, kids don't really need all that much. We found out that when Gabriel surprised us all. Here they come, ready or not. However, Sylvia and Mommy only need a few things. Although Gabriel thinks he is a big boy, he can't walk with Mommy without FBI surveillance so we will need a double stroller so he can be strapped down most of the time. He waived "bye bye stroller" today when I tried to buy the carseat and he tried to climb up all the shelves and into all the baby swing displays at the store today. A very kind Andrew (babies r us employee) had to help me buy the big box. So carseat crossed off the list. Uncle Reed has generously agreed to help Bryan install a real door on Sylvia's room since right now it is a glass sliding door. We bought a pre-hung door once but I don't remember how much it cost. We need very cute crib bedding, I think I have settled on this. I love the color scheme, bright and colorful but I was not super happy about the animal theme but it's growing on me since there's nothing else with the same colors and a different theme. Behold this is the Princess's bedding.

I'll have to wait for another coupon since I've got some time. I don't think I've got as much as they say but still some time. She also needs a glider chair since Gabriel can't sleep by himself he desperately still needs the one in his room. And, oh, by the way, I HATE HIS CHAIR, it clicks and makes noise, just perfect when you're trying to put a baby to sleep, yup. It is also very uncomfortable for the tired mommy in the middle of the night. But it was free so it was the right price. If Sylvia didn't need another one Gabriel surely does but I guess he'll be off to college soon so we won't drop any bucks on his chair.

So that's not really all that much, right? We thought so. We are much more confident this time around. Don't tell her she only needs around 5 things since she is a princess.

Gabriel is a dirty bird today so he needs a bath, oh, yeah, he's sick with a cold now too so he really needs his head washed.
