We are very happy to announce that Gabriel did pee pee on the potty for the very first time this evening.
He has been wanting to sit on the real potty a few times this week just for fun. He would sit there and look like "ok, this is fun, what's next?". We took him for a run in the park this evening (because he is the border collie who lives in the apartment and needs a 4 hour run each day in order to produce good behavior). We thought it would make him tired but it really just made him sweaty.
We were in the bathroom, water was running in the tub, off comes the diaper, he sits on the real potty (with a small cushy potty seat), Mommy says, hey, what's that, holy cow he's peeing in the potty. We should have cheered in praise immediately but we couldn't believe it. Then we cheered, he smiled. He wanted the toilet paper. Then he flushed on his own. Then he wanted to wash his hands and then he brushed his teeth. Then he had a bath. Then he refused to go to bed until 10PM. So much for the run in the park. It was a long run-really he ran the whole way-but I guess he was not tired enough for bed.
All the potty excitement, how could we have expected him to go to bed, silly Mommy and Daddy.

Congrats on Gabriel going potty. That is a big step. Maybe this will reduce the dozens of diapers you have to use a day. I think Bryan is going to have to dust off that running shoes and take Gabriel for a real run. Hopefully Bryan can keep up.
Awesome! I am afraid he will not used the potty chair but jump directly to the adult/regular potty. Amazing. Congratulaions to Gabriel, Mom and Dad! Excellent rule model. Keep it up. Lola
Woohoo! Exciting, but seriously. I watched part of that video. A dancing terd?????? (lol)
I did not have time to post a disclaimer when I posted. I didn't watch the whole thing and I didn't think anyone else would either but I still thought it was funny. I think the fact that it has subtitles is hillarious.
there has been no more urine (in the potty) to date. I had him at the out today and he wanted to sit on the potty at the dr's office and he almost had one leg in the toilet at the mall. That would have been messy. Since we're just starting I told him he can't sit on the potty's when we're out, since he's just playing.
