One Step Closer......

Gabriel has been a handful lately so I haven't had time to do anything. But here we are. It only took 3 days to approve Sylvia's visa. We received notice early this week. Despite the fact that we are told it may take 4-6 months for her to get here, I have decided we are severely behind in our preparations. It has been 5 weeks already. We received notice of Gabriel's visa approval on 9.21.06 and he was here on 10.13.06. While I don't think that we will have Miss Girly Girl here in three weeks, somehow I don't think that I should count on having 3+ more months to get ready. I am now predicting the very end of October. That would make it approximately 4 months since we started. My little helper is going off to college on August 30th so I have decided I will use her up trying to get Sylvia's room ready. We need to remove the wall paper and get painting. This means I have to purchase the bedding so I can pick the colors and move the unnecessary furniture and junk OUT! Uncle Carpenter aka Uncle Reed is on vacation so we will have to snatch his services right up when he gets back. Uncle Reed, strap that tool belt on 'cause little Sylvia needs you.

PS: i forgot to post in the last post that she needs a surveillance camera too. I'll have to order it. We are really counting on her not needing as much surveillance as Gabriel but we are not taking any chances.

Congrats! That was really fast. Did you decide that the dresser you want would fit in her room?

Oh, and I thought you should know that Uncle Carpenter is already booked immediately following his vacation to make a platform for our bed. After that, he's all yours!!!

(We need to have a swim party at Nanny's when we get home before it's starts to cool off...)

It'll fit. I decided to get the one that is just a tiny bit smaller than yours. I decided that although girls need lots of clothes if we have just one baby in there she doesn't need a big one like the girls have. It's in my van right now. Wow, I can't believe it came in such a small box.
