Big Boy Room aka $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The Big Boy Room theme is now cars and modes of transportation. Mostly cars. I thought about getting more sports but Gabriel really really likes cars so I thought that was the better way to go. I dislike Target but they had the best juvenile bedding and I looked around. Gabriel now has a matching cars bed set: sham, quilt, pillowcase and top and bottom sheets. He hates blankets with a fury so he is just sleeping on a sheet with a pillow nest. Here are some pictures of his new big boy room. Luckily, the set matches the colors already in his room perfectly. I must have known this would happen way back when-when I painted this room yellow.

Transitioning to the big boy room cost some major dough. Kids do though. I think he was more than most because we spent a fortune on anti Gabriel devices, those suckers aren't cheap. He needed more than most I think. Gee, and I thought the crib bedding was pricey. I was never really too motivated about the crib bedding, I have always looked forward to the big boy room. I was envisioning a cute little toddler bed but alas my little rolley polley bug needs a very large sleeping area. The Toddler bed would never have worked out. I think this is all better for us anyway. Maybe soon he will learn to sleep with a blanket. We can only hope.

Oh Yeah, I hope to get the big boy bed out of my van soon too. It is the most well traveled bed ever right now.

Big boy bed with rail. Isn't the quilt cute. He isn't sleeping with it of course. The rail also is working perfectly, extra tall, extra wide. He even tries to climb over it just for fun. Argh!
New pillow cars on the dresser. When I think he won't play with them and therefore postpone bedtime he can sleep with them.
Car book ends. We are trying to cushion the bed time blow with stories now even though he won't sit for them. So we needed a place for the books.
Camera number 1. This one gives us a view of the furniture and the door.
Camera number 2. This is the bed cam. Look way at the ceiling to the left of the curtains in the corner. I love the cameras.

He's been good about not throwing things around in a frenzy lately so I thought some fun big boy room things would be ok. We'll see how it goes. It's all soft, even the book ends. He's never touched the clock so we'll see.
