After corned beef hash, we knew Gabriel was not going to nap in his new big boy mattress. (there was no time to assemble the bed upon our return from IKEA) so we decided to visit Noah, Amanda and Jared earlier than anticipated. Gabriel napped in the car. On the way home, Amanda suggested we stop at the Babies R Us in Bridgewater. We said, hey that's a great idea since we need to drop our retirement savings there. It was the perfect time to mooch dinner from Aunt Cindy and Uncle Reed so we did. Gabriel napped only a little on the way home. We stayed up till after 10 PM continuing to secure the room with anti-Gabriel devices. He is a crafty one. We tried the mattress again but Gabriel was so pathetic I decided he was just a baby still and he needed the comfort of the crib. We quickly proceeded to re-assemble the day bed crib thing. We put the mattress in front to cushion the fall if he did in fact fall out. Later that night he really did fall out and slipped somehow under the crib. I went in to see what happened and I couldn't find him. Believe it or not, he was really underneath the crib. I pulled him out and we both slept on the mattress again. After 4 hours of being up with him it was morning and Bryan got a little of Gabriel's cold. He decided to stay home. We then realized that IKEA sells a bed rail that would be perfect for the day bed thing.
Gabriel, my Mom and I made another emergecy trip to IKEA while Bryan napped. We got the rail hoping to improve the day bed. Hmmmm.......you say.
No pictures, assembling and re-assembling was done much too quickly.
